Inspiration

Our inspiration for our 'Thriller Opening' came from a newspaper article, where a man hired someone to kill his newly married wife, whilst being on their honeymoon. He hired a man to hi-jack their car which then led to her death.


We found this quite disturbing and a very un-settleing thing to do. So we have chosen this and adapted on it because we think it will set a good atmosphere for an opening scene for a thriller. We have adapted it as the married man just gets help to scare his new wife and distracts her so he can kill her himself. Or at least that is what the audience thinks. The setting and the scenery is different, we have only taken the fact that a married man hired another man to have involvement in his wife's death.


We think this idea will be good and will relate to our target audience because it is quite scary and worrying from the woman's point of view, and confusing in the sense that the audience is 'thrown' in to the situation is not told any information to educate the audience on what is going on. leaving them eager to find out what happened, and what was the reasoning for what the man does to the woman and what happens next.
